Artist's Statement
By allowing reactions and interactions with the poured paints, each painting is an exploration of the materials. I do not control all of the aspects of their movements; the paints respond naturally. During the wet stage, I watch the paints physically transform, expand, mix and merge into a dried, fixed final image; similar to the phenomenon of a photographic print being developed.
Every painting is a new experiment. My artwork will always be evolving by focusing on the individual characteristics of each material. All of the materials live together as a whole; yet do not detract from the beauty of each individual one.
